![]() I've owned a full size P99 AS for a little over two years now and I just picked up a PPQ Classic about a couple months ago (both in 9mm). Or, maybe I'm just a sissy.Įveryone else pretty much covered it. As for me, I actually prefer the feel of the P99 trigger shoe, as that friggin center blade in the PPQ starts chewin' on my trigger finger. Again, one of those personal preference things. Some prefer the feel of the PPQ trigger shoe, while others prefer the feel of the P99 trigger shoe. The PPQ has the center blade drop safety, while the P99 uses a solid, trigger shoe that actually pivots to provide the drop safety feature. In addition, the trigger shoes on these pistols are different. Yep, they both brake right at the back.with the P99 breaking just an rch farther to the rear than the PPQ. My last question, is the trigger break on both nearly all the way at the rear? Single action in both pistols is short and sweet.as is the reset. Its been said that the PPQ trigger is basically a P99 trigger without the AS or DA modes. Just from what I've read, seems like the P99 is like the PPQ with an added feature of heavy DA. I've shot & handled a PPQ but never a P99 AS. I won't be using this as a carry weapon, just range duty and at home. In your opinion is one caliber in one better than in the other. Both pistols are great.there is NO bad choice. Other people prefer the choice of a double action 'first shot'. I prefer the single action trigger of the PPQ. BUT, one's preference for either one of these pistols is very subjective. Morning Jim, I'll respond to your questions in 'green'.įor those of you that has both or have shot both, which do you prefer, the full size PPQ 4" or the full size P99 AS? ![]()
